Works On Paper
The impetus for the body of work seen in the pages of this website was born out of my recovery from Post Concussion Syndrome (PCS) sustained in an auto accident in late April of 2015. That unfortunate turn of events helped me find a new voice in my work –– a new vocabulary of form and color. I have found that these simple combinations can trigger memories in the viewer and long discussions can come from just the connections between color and shape. It is very interesting to consider these reactions.
While working this way I was reconnecting pathways in my own brain and retrieving memories. I have so many questions. What did I touch on? What did I recover in the making? And What is it that my patrons and the viewers see, experience, feel?
