This painting is inspired by the The Large Hadron Collider which is the world's largest and highest-energy particle collider. (The collider is located in Cern, near Geneva, Switzerland.)
While working on this painting my thoughts went toward the minuscule explosion that happens when two particles are forced to collide. It is invisible to the eye. I wondered what that might look like. And of course I had to make it as big as I could. And this fits in my car.
